Mike is Counsel for U.S. Senator Susan Collins. He is responsible for the Senator's defense appropriations, homeland security, veterans affairs, Army Corps of Engineers, and space portfolios. Mike was previously Counsel to U.S. Representative Mike Coffman, directing the member's committee-work on the House Armed Services and Veterans' Affairs Committees. Prior to serving on the Hill, Mike was an active-duty Army Judge Advocate, serving as Assistant Counsel for Legislation, Fiscal & General Law at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers headquarters in Washington, D.C, and as a White House Military Social Aide. Prior to his military service he was a law clerk at the Republican National Committee. Mike was an alternate-delegate representing Washington D.C. at the 2016 Republican National Convention. Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, Mike earned a B.S. in Commerce (concentrating in Finance and Management) and a J.D. from the University of Virginia.
