Current and former RNLA leaders are pleased to support the nomination of Emil Bove to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. The letter below was submitted in anticipation of Bove's confirmation hearing which can be viewed here.

Dear Chairman Grassley and Ranking Member Durbin:
As current and former leaders of the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA), we urge you to swiftly approve the nomination of Emil Bove to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Mr. Bove’s well-rounded legal career makes him exceptionally qualified to serve on the federal bench. After graduating from Georgetown Law School, Mr. Bove clerked for then-U.S. Southern District of New York Judge Richard Sullivan and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Judge Richard Wesley. What followed is a distinguished career in both private practice and at the Department of Justice as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and official in the second Trump administration.
The success of the U.S. judicial system is dependent on judges who will uphold the rule of law and have a deep understanding of the rights laid out in the U.S. Constitution. Mr. Bove meets this need with his background zealously defending his clients both as a respected prosecutor and defense attorney.
It is also crucial for judges to understand the role they play in the American system of government. Mr. Bove knows this better than anyone through his history of representing clients who had the justice system weaponized against them and were subject to judicial overreach.
We encourage the Senate to provide President Trump with its advice and consent and expeditiously confirm Mr. Bove as Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned Current and Former RNLA Leaders *
