As Election Day 2022 comes to a close, Florida continues to be the poster child for how impactful state election reforms can be. Within a few hours of the polls closing, winners of most races were determined with confidence. Governor Ron DeSantis and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio both won decisive victories.

Unfortunately, Maricopa County, Arizona experienced massive problems. At one point, counting machines over a quarter of the polling places were offline. RNLA Chair Harmeet Dhillon played a crucial role in managing the response on the ground.

Unfortunately, a request to keep the polls open longer to give voters who experienced difficulties earlier in the day a chance to cast their vote was denied.
