RNLA Honors Chairman Jim Jordan as the 2025 Recipient of the Hon. Edwin Meese III Award

Washington, D.C. – The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) is pleased to present the 2025 Hon. Edwin Meese III Award to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH). The Hon. Edwin Meese III Award is bestowed upon an individual who has upheld the rule of law in the face of adverse political challenges and is presented at the National Policy Conference each spring in Washington, D.C.

“No member of Congress has been more steadfast and courageous than Chairman Jim Jordan in holding the powerful accountable to truth,” said RNLA Chair Lee Goodman. “Against great opposition, Jim Jordan has sought the truth, has spoken the truth, and has fought to uphold the rule of law.”

“RNLA is thrilled to give Chairman Jordan our highest honor: the Edwin Meese III Award,” added RNLA Co-Chair Patricia Paoletta. “Jordan personifies the fearless and principled upholding of the rule of law, no matter the slings and arrows that come his way. Without his dogged pursuit of the truth while chairing the House Judiciary Committee the past Congress, the American public would never have learned the truth about Big Tech’s working with the past Administration to censor dissent, the leveraging of the Biden Brand for his family’s gain, the corruption plaguing America’s chief investigations bureau, and so much more. The American people owe a debt of gratitude to Jim Jordan, and RNLA is pleased to honor that through this Meese Award.”

Chairman Jordan’s career in Congress has been marked by a commitment to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government. Jordan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, a master’s degree from the Ohio State University, and his law degree from Capital University.

Chairman Jordan will accept the award and give an address at the 2025 RNLA National Policy Conference and 40th Anniversary Celebration on May 16, in Washington, D.C. He is the first Member of the U.S. House of Representatives to be given the award. Past recipients include Senators Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Tom Cotton, and Ted Cruz as well as former U.S. Attorney Generals John Ashcroft and Michael Mukasey.
