Join RNLA for a special webinar this Thursday featuring Elliot Berke and Cully Stimson to discuss the unprecedented indictment of former President Donald Trump on criminal charges by rogue Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Berke served as general counsel to former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay while DeLay was being targeted for political reasons by the Travis County District Attorney  in the early 2000s. Stimson is an expert on rogue prosecutors and  a co-author of the forthcoming book Rogue Prosecutors: How Radical Soros Lawyers Are Destroying America's Communities which will be published later this year.

Elliot Berke is Managing Partner of Berke Farah LLP. Prior to founding Berke Farah LLP, Elliot served as a partner and as practice group co-chair at McGuireWoods LLP. His diverse client base consists of federal and state elected and appointed officials, campaign committees, political parties, PACs, corporations, small businesses, trade associations, lobbying firms, public relations firms, nonprofits, artists, and musicians. He represents clients before congressional ethics and oversight committees, the FEC, the DOJ, Inspectors General, and other federal and state departments and agencies and represents musicians on contracts and disputes. He has represented presidential appointees on their confirmation and tenure over four Administrations including at the cabinet level. During his career, he has represented more than 60 current and former Members of Congress, including the top four leadership positions in the U.S. House of Representatives – Speaker, Majority Leader, Majority Whip, and Conference Chair. He currently serves as outside counsel to Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Majority Whip Tom Emmer, as well as many Committee Chairs and rank and file Members of Congress, and the NRCC. He runs election day war rooms for presidential and gubernatorial candidates. He is a frequent speaker on political law, and regularly conducts the ethics training for the Members of Congress and Chief of Staff retreats sponsored by the Congressional Institute (where he also serves as its outside counsel). He is General Counsel & Senior Advisor to the Jack Kemp Foundation as part of his practice. He was the Republican National Lawyers Association’s Lawyer of the Year in 2021.

Cully Stimson is a widely recognized policy expert in crime control, national security, immigration, homeland security, and drug policy at The Heritage Foundation. Stimson is Deputy Director of the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, Manager of the National Security Law Program, Senior Legal Fellow, and Senior Advisor to the President. Stimson writes, lectures, and testifies on a wide array of policy issues such as the law of armed conflict, terrorist detainee policy, military commissions, criminal law and the death penalty, immigration and the war on drugs. Before joining the think tank in 2007, Stimson served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Detainee Affairs. He advised then-Secretaries of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Robert Gates and coordinated the Pentagon’s global detention policy and operations, including at Guantanamo Bay and in Iraq and Afghanistan. An accomplished trial lawyer, Stimson worked as a prosecutor in San Diego, Maryland, and as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. As a prosecutor, he concentrated on violent crimes such as homicide, sexual assault and domestic violence. A third-generation naval officer, Cully served in the Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG) for 30 years, including three tours on active duty. Stimson is a co-author of the forthcoming book Rogue Prosecutors: How Radical Soros Lawyers Are Destroying America's Communities which will be published later this year.
