John Faso is former member of the New York State Assembly, serving from 1986 thru 2002. From 1998 to 2002, he served as Republican Leader of the Assembly. He was candidate for state Comptroller in 2002 and Governor in 2006. Faso is a graduate of the State University of New York at Brockport and the Georgetown University Law Center. He is currently a partner in the law firm of Manatt Phelps & Phillips, LLP, working in the Albany and NYC offices. He resides in Kinderhook, NY with his wife Mary Frances. They are the parents of two children.
