BIO

Michael Friedland is a litigation partner in the firm's Orange County office. He represents clients in all types of intellectual property disputes, including patent, trade secret, trademark, copyright, and unfair competition matters, in fields ranging from mechanical and medical devices to biotechnology to computer software, in courts throughout the country. Mr. Friedland joined the firm in 1996 and became a partner in 2000. Prior to joining the firm, he was associated with the law firm of Irell & Manella in Newport Beach, California. Mr. Friedland is a member of the board of directors of the Federalist Society's Intellectual Property Practice Group and Orange County California Lawyers' Chapter. He is the immediate past president of the Federalist Society's Orange County Lawyers' Chapter. Mr. Friedland was named a in Southern California by Law & Politics magazine. Mr. Friedland lives in Irvine with his wife and two sons. He is a Reserve Orange County Deputy Sheriff.
