The Democratic Congressional Circus Continues with Convicted Perjurer Michael Cohen Testifying

Today, the House Oversight Committee is holding an inflammatory public hearing featuring the recently disbarred lawyer and convicted felon Michael Cohen. The hearing is being covered by the cable news networks and interrupted all the major networks' daytime programming—in essence, commandeering the news cycle. Mr. Cohen, who previously served as a personal attorney to President Donald Trump, was convicted last year after committing a variety of personal crimes and lying to Congress while under oath.

So, what do the new Democratic-controlled House of Representatives do?

They bring back the same convicted perjurer to testify before Congress again as the sole, star witness. If Mr. Cohen were a witness for a trial before a court, his narrative would be placed in serious doubt as a convicted perjurer.

Republicans are crying foul about the real intent of holding this public hearing today. Including Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, who noted this was going on while President Trump was about to hold a summit in Vietnam:

Also, Congressman James Comer (R-KY) called out the clear partisanship games of this hearing:

Ranking Member Jim Jordan is doing an excellent job explaining what a circus this has become. Rep. Jordan is clarifying the record and he is highlighting the reality of the situation and he is debunking the spin which the left is attempting to conflate with the truth. Below are a couple of highlights, so far, by Ranking Member Jordan:

As for the main take-a-way: nothing new here, just a media circus by the House Democrats and attempt by the left to undermine President Trump. Mr. Cohen will finish his three days whirlwind tour by speaking before the House Intelligence Committee behind closed doors like he did earlier this week, before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

A special shout out and thank you to Republicans on the House Oversight Committee and Ranking Member Jim Jordan for highlighting the continuing smear campaign by the left.
