Daniel E. Nordby is an Partner in the Tallahassee office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where his practice focuses on high-profile, high stakes matters of law and public policy with an emphasis on campaign finance and election law. Daniel currently serves as General Counsel to the Republican Party of Florida, a position he also held during the 2010 and 2008 election cycles. His experience in the field of election law includes service as General Counsel to Florida's Secretary of State for the 2012 election cycle and General Counsel for the Florida House of Representatives for the 2014 election cycle. Daniel has litigated redistricting and election law matters on behalf of the Republican National Committee, the Republican Party of Florida, the Florida House of Representatives and its Speaker, Florida's Secretary of State, the Florida Elections Canvassing Commission, candidates, and political party officers. He represents clients before the Florida Elections Commission, the Federal Election Commission, and the Florida Commission on Ethics. Daniel also advises local party committees and candidates on various aspects of campaign finance and election law.
