We have written on this blog often on Broward County Florida Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes, but we must admit we were shocked by her statement today. 

On Tuesday, while speaking with reporters, Snipes hinted that she may not be in the job very long and said that it was "hard to rule out race" as a factor in the criticism being lobbed at her. . . .

Snipes argued on Monday that the lawsuits were nothing more than an attack on her integrity.

. . . "I have worked here for about 15 years and I have to say this is the first time that this office or I have been under such attacks," she said.

Before the election last year, her office mistakenly sent out some absentee ballots to voters that failed to list a popular medical marijuana measure that ultimately passed by wide margins, but not before the office was sued by the Florida chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. In another case during the election, the office mailed out about 1,700 ballots that had the word “no” in Creole where it should have said “wi” for “yes.”.

Snipes is not a victim of racism or false attacks on her integrity.  But Florida voters are victims of her incompetence that she admits leads to fraudulent votes.  And we are just scratching the surface on the above as there are more articles and examples!
