Garrett practices at Cummins & White LLP in Newport Beach, CA, and is the California Chair of the Republican National Lawyers Association, through which he was worked on various campaigns in a legal capacity. He has written columns for Townhall.com, and co-hosted a weekend radio show called "The Weekend Answer" heard Sunday mornings in Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire. Prior to beginning his practice in 2009, Garrett attended Pepperdine University School of Law, where he participated in the moot court team, published an article, and worked as a Research Assistant for Dean and former Solicitor General Kenneth W. Starr. Before law school, Garrett worked in the US Senate for two years in the Senate Republican Conference, a leadership office that sets and promotes the GOP legislative agenda through media outlets.
