ICYMI: RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel Reelected

On January 8th, Ronna McDaniel was reelected unanimously as Chair of the Republican National Committee. McDaniel's term will last for two years.

After her reelection, Chair McDaniel addressed attendees at the RNC's Winter Meeting:

Pointing to the 2022 midterms, McDaniel said, to big applause, "We have a lot of hard work to do to take back the Senate and the House in 2022, but I am mad and I’m not going to let socialism rule this country and I’m going to work with every single one of you to make sure we squash it and we take back the House and take back the Senate."

"So Democrats, get ready, buckle your seatbelts. We’re coming," she emphasized.

RNLA leadership applauds the reelection of Chair McDaniel:

RNLA President David Bowsher: "This election cycle, Chairwoman McDaniel oversaw Republicans’ gaining numerous seats in the House of Representatives, all without losing a single Republican seat. Because of McDaniel’s strong support of Republican candidates and state parties nationwide, not only did Republicans win important races around the country, but Republicans are now only eleven seats away from regaining control of the House."

RNLA Chair Larry Levy: "Chairwoman McDaniel bolstered the Republican Party’s message to resonate with minorities in ways the Party has been unable to do previously. McDaniel oversaw the over 10,000 events held by the Trump Victory Strategic Initiatives this cycle to engage Asian Pacific Americans, Black Americans, and Hispanic Americans. This led to more minorities voting for the Republican candidate than in the past 60 years. The party also substantially broadened its reach with blue-collar workers, the forgotten men and women of America."

RNLA Executive Director Michael Thielen: "Chairwoman McDaniel’s leadership has transformed how campaigns fundraise, as she oversaw the RNC raise over 2 billion dollars in a year and a half just in small dollar donations through Win Red. McDaniel enabled the Party to raise the most money in its history."

RNLA Co-Chair and RNC Western Region Vice Chair Harmeet K. Dhillon: "RNLA applauds RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel for how she guided the Party deftly during the COVID-19 Pandemic, especially as the nominating convention was relocated and replanned several times. Under Chairwoman McDaniel’s unwavering leadership, the convention showcased the diversity of the Republican Party, proving to everyone that that the Party is for every American. Her continued leadership enables the Party to build on her leadership strengths as it faces both challenges and opportunities as an opposition party."
