As Republican Leader, Representative Kevin McCarthy of California has proven his unique ability to unite Americans and deliver results. Leader McCarthy is a principled conservative who consistently fights for policies that grow our economy, protect our national security, and uphold our values.

While Democrats in the majority have pushed far left policies, McCarthy protected Americans from the largest tax increase in history. He also led the effort to cut government red tape and promote solutions that foster private-sector innovations and job growth.

Americans can be grateful to McCarthy’s leadership in fighting to reduce federal spending and securing entitlement reform that saved taxpayers $2.9 trillion.

Leader McCarthy has stood with President Trump over increasing border security. While speaking of current effort at our southern border, he released the following statement:

While the funding measure is far from perfect, we successfully fought back the open-borders, catch-and-release demands of Nancy Pelosi and her Defund-ICE caucus. Not only does the bill make an important down payment for the construction of physical barriers and other border security measures, it ensures law enforcement such as ICE can detain violent criminals. It is a critical step in the right direction and will help keep our communities safe....

On the Democrats' H.R. 1, Leader McCarthy had this to say:

H.R. 1 would weaken the security of our elections and make it harder to protect against voter fraud. Here’s how: It would automatically register voters from DMV and other government databases. Voting is a right, not a mandate. In most cases, this legislation would actually prevent officials from removing ineligible voters from the rolls and would make it much more difficult to verify the accuracy of voter information. So future voters might be underage or dead or illegal immigrants, or registered two or three times.... Democrats just don’t care....

Leader McCarthy has led the Republican caucus to faithfully advance an agenda that secures our borders, empowers individual liberty, keeps our country safe, and preserve our Constitutional rights.
