BIO
Patrick Flannery was elected in November 2010 as the Carter County Attorney, at the age of 29. On the date of his election, he was believed to be the youngest elected prosecutor in Kentucky. Flannery served as County Attorney for four years, being recognized once as Prosecutor of the Year and twice as Public Official of the Year for his efforts in combating drug abuse in his area. Flannery and his office also serve as the chief prosecutor in District Court and Family Court, and as counsel to the Carter County Fiscal Court and Carter County Board of Elections.
Flannery served as the Executive Director and administrative hearing officer for the Kentucky Board of Tax Appeals. After the KBTA was consolidated to create the Kentucky Claims Commission, Flannery served as the Deputy Director and Acting Director of that agency.
Flannery currently serves at the Deputy Executive Director of the Office of Administrative Hearings, where he serves as the primary hearing officer on all Kentucky tax appeals, as well as a hearing officer on claims made against state government, and other administrative hearings.
Flannery and his wife Keri, an elementary school teacher, reside in Olive Hill. They are the proud parents of one daughter named Demi Rose Flannery.
