After a two-year investigation and $25 million later, the long-anticipated report by special counsel Robert Mueller has finally been released.
As Attorney General Bill Barr previously announced, the report found no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government during the 2016 election.
While Democrats are in meltdown mode and desperately trying to keep their false narrative of collusion alive, Republican leaders are displaying resolve and commitment to move on and get back to the business of the American people…
House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, “Democrats want to keep searching for imaginary evidence that supports their claims, but it is simply not there. It is time to move on. Americans deserve better than this partisan quest to vilify a political opponent.”
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell praised AG Barr as “an experienced leader” has worked to “ensure maximum possible transparency while carefully protecting classified material and legally restricted grand jury information.”
South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, applauded Barr’s “commitment to transparency and keeping the American people informed, consistent with the law and our national security interests.”
House Republican Whip Steve Scalise, “With the formal release of the Mueller Report, two things are clear: 1) There was no collusion with Russia. 2) There was no obstruction of justice. Democrats owe the American people an apology. They must now stop harassing President and his family.”
Furthermore, as Vice President Pence and Nikki Haley point out, the focus should now shift to why this investigation began in the first place…
Vice President Mike Pence, “Now that the Special Counsel investigation is completed, the American people have a right to know whether the initial investigation was in keeping with long-standing Justice Department standards — or even lawful at all. We must never allow our justice system to be exploited in pursuit of a political agenda.”
Former U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, “You can have as many people testify as you want but it won’t change the outcome. The question that should be asked is on what basis was the FISA warrant issued and who knew about it. The American people deserve to know the truth since they paid for this investigation.”
As Americans, we can be confident that our government was never colluding with the Russians and that our President handily won his election fair and square…
President Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, “We're very happy. [This is] a clear victory. Any lawyer would say when you get a declaration you just won.”
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway declared Thursday "the best day" since President Trump's election. "I called this a political proctology exam," Conway said of the report, claiming Trump had received a "clean bill of health. "This should make people very good about our democracy…We’re accepting apologies today, too, for anybody who feels the grace in offering them.”
