RNLA Elects New Board of Governors Members for 2024

Washington, D.C. – The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) elected two new members to its Board of Governors at its annual board meeting on December 1, 2023. These elite attorneys will help to lead the over 5,000-member-strong organization.

RNLA Chair Marc Ellinger said: “I am excited to welcome our new and distinguished members to the RNLA Board of Governors. As a group, the RNLA focuses on free and fair elections. In the marketplace of ideas, our Republican values will prevail as long as we are vigilant in protecting the integrity of elections and ensuring that every legal vote is counted. I salute our new board members and officers, and I look forward to working side-by-side with our board and all the members of the RNLA in this crucial 2024 election year.”

The following members of the Board of Governors were newly elected for 2024, joining the incumbent and returning members of the Board:

Kyle Gilster is the Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C., office of Husch Blackwell LLP. Kyle’s practice involves governmental affairs, regulatory work, campaign finance, and election law.  Kyle has practiced at Husch Blackwell LLP since 2004. He advises industry representatives from groups, companies, and associations with legal services across the public policy spectrum. In addition, Kyle’s experience includes issues related to financial services, agriculture, energy, natural resources, and healthcare. He worked as a Counsel for the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee and for Representative Doug Bereuter from the First District of Nebraska. Formerly, Kyle worked in both the Nebraska Unicameral and the Nebraska Attorney General’s office. Kyle is a proud Nebraskan. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Lindsey Melody Specht is Senior Counsel with the Stand Together community, where she counsels several tax-exempt organizations primarily on political law and non-profit tax compliance, as well as a variety of other issue areas. She also works closely with internal and external partners on donor privacy and other First Amendment policy issues on both state and federal levels. Prior to joining the community, Lindsey worked for several of the Republican Commissioners at the Federal Election Commission. She attended CUA Law and Monmouth University in NJ.

The following individuals are rejoining the RNLA Board in 2024: Roger Barth (Washington, D.C.), David Bowsher (Birmingham, AL), Craig Burkhardt (Washington, D.C.), John Fogarty (Chicago, IL), Manuel Iglesias (Miami, FL), Eric Lycan (Lexington, KY), Charlie Spies (Washington, D.C.), and David Warrington (Alexandria, VA).
