The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) issued the following statement on the 2020 election:

Elections are the foundation of our republic. The Republican National Lawyers Association applauds both the Trump campaign and our Republican lawyer colleagues around the country who are fighting to ensure the integrity and finality of the election.

The RNLA condemns reports from multiple Democratic-controlled areas, where counting is ongoing, of election observers being excluded from observing the counting and processing of ballots, of procedures not being followed regarding the handling of ballots, and of voters being directly disenfranchised through the actions of election officials.

The RNLA has worked to ensure open, fair, and honest elections since we were founded decades ago. Ensuring that every legal vote is counted and no illegal votes are counted, through a transparent process that follows applicable election laws and rules, is vital to providing the public confidence in the outcome of the election. Our republic rests upon the consent of the governed, and there can be no shortcuts in certifying the election results.

As states continue counting the ballots from this historic election, many RNLA members are working long hours in the field to achieve the goal of open, fair, and honest elections, and the organization would like to thank them for their efforts. We are actively engaged with the Trump campaign and state GOP efforts to ensure that when all the legal votes are counted and the election is certified, we have a result that all Americans can accept, regardless of party. Our country deserves no less.

The RNLA seeks to promote open, fair and honest elections at all levels of American society in a non-discriminatory manner and to provide access to the polls to all qualified and eligible voters.
