Majority Legal and Policy Advisor at The Ohio House of Representatives
Tyler is deputy legal counsel and policy advisor to the majority caucus at the Ohio House of Representatives and chairman of the Ohio Chapter of the Republican National Lawyers Association. A 2016 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tyler formerly served as a law clerk for both the RNLA and the Republican National Committee. Tyler has been involved in Republican politics since he first began volunteering for political campaigns as a high school student. Over the years, Tyler has supported numerous campaigns including those of Cincinnati City Councilwoman Amy Murray, U.S. Rep. Steve Chabot, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, Ohio Governor John Kasich, U.S. Senator Rob Portman, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. While in law school Tyler served as an extern in the chambers of Federal District Court Judge Michael Barrett of the Southern District of Ohio and in the the chambers of Ohio Supreme Court Justice Pat Fischer when he was a judge on Ohio's First District Court of Appeals. Additionally, Tyler has over a decade of experience in the U.S. military. He first served as an enisted intelligence analyst with the Ohio Air National Guard and is currently assigned as a JAG officer with the Ohio Army National Guard.
