Many commentators in the conservative legal sphere agree—there is no middle ground when it comes to the decision the U.S. Supreme Court will make in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. Carrie Severino writes for Fox News:

The current court would commit grave error in Dobbs if it replicated Casey’s gamesmanship with yet another baseless exercise in line-drawing. In other words, the only principled outcome here is for the court to overrule those two precedents, which are as unprincipled as any cases decided within living memory. 

Earlier today, the United States Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which has the potential to radically upend the current landscape of abortion jurisprudence. At issue in the case is whether a Mississippi law banning most abortions past 15 weeks of pregnancy is constitutional. This case is different from others that have come before the Court because it directly asks the justices to overturn Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

In multiple major rulings, two of the Biden Administration's vaccine mandates were blocked by federal courts today. First, the Eastern District of Kentucky issued a preliminary injunction suspending the enforcement of a vaccine mandate for federal contractors in Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. The Lexington Hearald Leader reports:

A federal judge in Kentucky issued a preliminary injunction effectively blocking implementation of President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal government contractors and subcontractors on Tuesday.

Despite popular support for commonsense voter integrity measures, the Left has doubled down on their plan for a federal takeover of elections.

The continued efforts by liberals and Democrats to intimidate and politicize the courts has reached a new low. In an unprecedented move, the NAACP is seeking to force the recusal of two North Carolina Supreme Court justices from a case concerning the state's voter ID law. The Carolina Journal explains:

The NAACP seeks to formally remove two GOP Supreme Court justices from a critical constitutional amendments case. Its attorneys presented a detailed argument to the Supreme Court on why the court as a whole should disqualify the two justices, an action never before taken in North Carolina, because of alleged conflicts of interest.

On Sunday night, news broke that a horrible tragedy had just occurred in Waukesha, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. Five were killed and nearly 50 injured when a man plowed through the local Christmas parade in an SUV. The Milwaukee County DA's Office is now reviewing whether the suspect, a repeat violent offender, should have even been allowed to be out among the public in the first place.

After several days of deliberation, a Wisconsin jury has acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse of all charges arising out of his use of deadly force against rioters who attacked him during last summer’s violent unrest in Kenosha. National Review reports: 

Rittenhouse was arrested on August 26, 2020, after shooting three people during the riots that followed the police killing of Jacob Blake, a black man who was brandishing a knife and in the process of violating a restraining order when police arrived on scene. He was initially indicted on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, attempted first-degree intentional reckless homicide, failure to comply with an emergency order from a local government, and possession of a dangerous weapon.

On Thursday, Judge Bruce Schroeder sent "shockwaves" through the courtroom when he banned MSNBC from the courtroom for the remainder of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial because one of their freelancers allegedly tried to contact jurors the night before. Fox News reported:

"The jury in this case is being transported from a different location in a bus with windows covered … Last evening a person who identified himself as James J. Morrison, and who claimed that he was a producer with NBC News, for MSNBC … police, when they stopped him, because he was following in the distance of about a block and went through a red light, pulled him over and inquired of him what was going on and he gave that information and stated that he had been instructed by Mrs. [MSNBC booking producer Irene] Byon to follow the jury bus."

Earlier this week, a group of 13 Republican states were successful in their lawsuit against the Biden Administration challenging a provision in the President's "American Rescue Plan." As reported by the Washington Examiner:

U.S. District Judge L. Scott Coogler of the Northern District of Alabama issued an injunction against Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and in favor of more than a dozen states that enjoins her from enforcing the section of Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act, enacted in March.
