Public corruption is so bad in South Texas that the FBI developed a task force to clean up the Rio Grande Valley’s wrongdoings. In 2013, more public officials were convicted for corruption here than any other reason. The major sin, vote-stealing.

In a divided agency, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) finds little compromise, and Democratic Commissioners attempt to overstep their power in an effort to advance their agenda. Democratic Chair Ann Ravel and Commissioner Ellen Weintraub filed an unprecedented formalpetition for rulemaking to their own agency to initiate a rulemaking process. The commissioners want to address the coordination of outside spending and campaigns and the regulations of foreign political money, but as the Center for Public Integrity’s Dave Levintal says,

Hilary Clinton showed no regard for State Department policy when she performed government business on her own personal account, and created personal accounts for others closest to her. Now Clinton continues to avoid releasing emails that could disclose how she ignored the security risks in Benghazi. Hilary Clinton continues to try to protect her emails and memos although the State Department did release a cache of the former Secretary of State’s emails after orders from a federal judge in a Freedom of Information Act request.

The RNLA Presidential Ballot Access Initiative is a collaborative initiative that levels the playing field for all presidential candidates. This project is spearheaded by co-chairs Stefan Passantino and Peter Schalestock who together with the RNLA teamed up with volunteer lawyers from across the country to provide resources and information to presidential candidates interested in getting their names on the ballot during the Republican nomination process.

The Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal from Arizona and Kansas that left in effect a November 2014 ruling from the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that the states cannot require the documentation for applicants using the “federal form.”

The Supreme Court upheld Arizona’s Redistricting Commission in a 5-4 decision ruling that the use of an independent commission to redraw congressional districts is constitutional. Thus, the current maps will remain for the 2016 election.

In a 5-4 decision the Supreme Court’s ruling on Obergefell v. Hodgesstrikes down laws in 14 states that ban same-sex marriage. Justice Kennedy wrote the majority opinion as he did in the last three major gay rights cases.

The Supreme Court released an opinion on King v. Burwell today that caused Republican leaders to express their disappointment in the legislative-like and politically charged ruling.

On Monday, The House Select Committee on Benghazi reported 60 newly released emails between Clinton and Sidney Blumenthal regarding Libya that were never turned over to the committee. The committee deposed Blumenthal recently and discovered that half of Secretary Clinton’s public record concerning the issue regarded emails from Blumenthal. Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) stated,
