Part 2, Top 10 Blog Posts of 2019

We continue our Top 10 Blog posts for 2019.  Numbers 6-10 are here.

5. February 7: SENATE JUDICIARY ADVANCES AG NOMINEE BARR AND 44 JUDICIAL NOMINEES

Senate Judiciary Dems playing an awkward game of praising Bill Barr's character and competence while saying why they're voting against him, which boils down to Pres. Trump, with some background of unitary executive theory.

4.  February 22: BALLOT HARVESTING IS TERRIBLE; WILL THE DEMOCRATS AGREE WHEN IT BENEFITS THEM?

While the right thing was done in North Carolina, the bigger question is will Democrats do the correct thing next week and make a statement against ballot harvesting. Ballot harvesting is legal in the Democrat stronghold of California, and its strategic use by Democrat operatives in the 2018 election resulted in Democrat wins in several close races.  HR 1, US House Democrats’ election reform proposal to federalize elections, curiously does not contain any prohibition on or regulation of ballot harvesting in its 571 pages. It will be marked up next week. If the Democrats are so intent on increasing federal regulation of elections, a bipartisan amendment opposing “ballot harvesting” nationwide would be a great step towards all sides acknowledging the potential for exploitation of voters with ballot harvesting.

[Editors note:  Democrats did not include a prohibition against Ballot Harvesting in HR 1. They are still continuing partisan efforts at election reform and  ignoring areas of bipartisan agreement such as banning balloting harvesting.]

3.  January 4: DEMOCRATS ARE INADVERTENTLY HELPING THE RUSSIANS “WIN”

The myth that Russian bots won the election is pure fiction.  Ironically that was never the goal.  Russia's goal was to divide America.  With Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other liberals' rhetoric, arguably the Russians won the war if not the 2016 election battle.  . . . The Russians did not win the election for Trump, but they did win the post-election in the sense that their efforts did divide Americans.  Shame on the Democrats for letting the Russians “win.”

2.  January 28 TEXAS AG: NEARLY 100,000 NON-CITIZENS ON TEXAS VOTER ROLLS, MORE THAN HALF ILLEGALLY VOTED h

After an 11-month investigation, the Texas Attorney General's office announced they had found nearly 100,000 non-citizens erroneously listed in state voter rolls. More shockingly, more than half of those non-citizens have reportedly voted illegally at least once in an election since registering.

1.  Multiple Dates, Record number of Judges Confirmed

The most read blog posts of 2019 were the posts celebrating President Trump’s record number of judges confirmed.  This was not about one post but under the leadership of Senators McConnell and Graham a record number of judges was confirmed.  These judges will have a long lasting impact, far beyond 2019 and Trump’s presidency.  (Pictured is DC Circuit Judge Neomi Rao.  Judge filled the seat formerly held by Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Chief Justice John Roberts.  Thank you President Trump and Senate Republicans.

Happy New Year!
